Meyer & O’Connor, LLC issued its inaugural Quarterly Update, an informational service for clients, friends and acquaintances of the firm. The Quarterly Update will be issued four times a year (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall) and discusses important legal developments in depth. The first Quarterly Update (for Fall, 2009), discusses § 230(c) of the Communications Decency Act of 1996, a relatively little known but significant law that affords providers and users of internet service a degree of protection from lawsuits arising from content provided by third parties.
