Mr. O’Connor also has represented clients as an advocate in arbitral proceedings and in mediations.
Mr. O’Connor brings over thirty-five years of complex litigation and courtroom experience to his work as an Arbitrator, including numerous jury trials, bench trials, arbitral trials, evidentiary hearings and the briefing and oral argument of numerous complex critical motions and appeals. As an advocate, Mr. O’Connor has served as lead counsel in, or otherwise played a significant role in, the litigation of many large, complex disputes involving extensive document productions (sometimes in the
millions of pages), numerous significant fact witness and expert depositions, large damage claims (sometimes for tens of billions of dollars) and lengthy trial, critical motion and/or mediation proceedings. Mr. O’Connor has prosecuted and/or defended numerous types of claims, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, directors and officers, common law fraud, competitive torts, product liability, negligence, patent, racketeering, antitrust, consumer fraud, civil rights, employment, administrative review and wire and/or mail fraud charges arising from complex business transactions.
