John A. Meyer defended a firm client against drug and firearm possession charges in a federal jury trial. The jury acquitted the client of one of the drug possession charges but convicted him of the other drug possession charge and the firearm possession charge. The acquittal on the drug possession count did not, however, change the applicable sentencing guideline range.
